Conditions Treated
-
Vaginal Prolapse ( has many names including pelvic organ prolapse, rectocele, cystocele, uterine prolapse) - can be addressed with pelvic floor PT, pessary and vaginal and laparoscopic surgery using the patient's own tissues ("native tissue repair") or using mesh robotically (e.g "Sacrocolpopexy")
-
Urinary Incontinence (Leakage of urine) can be treated with lifestyle changes, pelvic floor PT, medications, intravaginal devices and procedures including botox and nerve modulation for overactive bladder ("urgency incontinence"), or midurethral sling (small mesh) and urethral bulking with gel for leakage of urine with activities ("Stress Urinary incontinence")
-
Heavy menstrual bleeding ("abnormal uterine bleeding") and fibroids when conservative management failed with gynecologist via robotic assisted laparoscopic hysterectomy or hysteroscopic myomectomy (removal of fibroids using small camera)
-
Vaginal and urethral cysts (e.g. Gartner's duct cyst, urethral diverticulum, Skene's gland cysts) removal
-
